I’ve opted to start a new blog page, archiving the old one to review on the second upon. I will get more creative and organized as it continues throughout the times. I am putting forward also, more updates and the rest on the Facebook page, which is rather an extension of this when it comes down to it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/happyrcflyer . The prior blog entry/page is at https://happyrcflyer.com/blog/
December
It’s been quite a year and closing it out with yet another new design, a smaller 26″ wingspan Curtiss Jenny based upon the larger one using the standard 250 series gear. Shown on the main page as a special combo with the larger one and I put forward it’s own page upon as well. https://happyrcflyer.com/mini-curtiss-jenny/
I’m still largely using E-bay for the sales aspect, being a newer website it takes time for the public to find me direct, making a lot of new friends and customers through it but I can’t tell you enough how significant E-bays fee’s are, taking the lions share of any profits.
I’m sharing a custom request, which is more of an ideal situation for reproducing outside models and not have to design them from scratch. This one is called the Rascal.

When there are vector based plans available via. PDF or otherwise, I’m able to import them for use directly. There still is some noodling to configure things for the standard US based stock I work with, shown in the blue outlines, but in this case, the designer at least set up their own cut sheets which makes the job easier to quote. In this case, it’s going to be around 22 sheets of stock, the wingspan is 55″ to give you an idea of scale and the quote was for $220.00.

I finally dialed in the Curtiss Jenny files for production. This being the most advanced of my designs shouldn’t be intimidating for the average builder still.

I’m bundling parts on the thin ply pieces and leaving the rest on the sheet with tabs to hold them in place on this one when assembling the kit packages.

As shown in the Drawing Board page, there is an additional Slow Stick version I developed called the Slow Stick Cub. I’m going to do other themes, same scale and using the same fuse so one can bolt on different tail feathers and wings upon. I’m changing the name of Jenny Stick over to Slow Stick Jenny, it’s a bit more descriptive and people that are let down that it’s not a biplane, just order a second wing kit if you want to go that route, I’ll give you full support upon to do the addition.

This is just the start of many cool directions to go upon this format of plane.
Comet
I’m adding on some Comet lines and to include simple stick fuse free flight planes as well. I’m doing some fine tuning along the way with them to make it easier on the builder and making them more refined, also using the same quality balsa I use on the regular lines I manufacture.

Along the simple stick free flight planes, I have a series from the original planes, Comet using the division, North Pacific upon. These are the Sleek Streek, Skeeter, Stunt Flyer and Space Flyer. Showing them as my starting point upon.

I ended up with a couple of the Comet/North Pacific designs with supplements in ASA 3d printed hardware and extra’s along with, scaling up and working with the Stunt Flyer and Sleek Streek format of planes. I am continuing to fine tune the Sleek Streek but have the Stunt flyer, now renamed to Penny Flyer due to a penny is required for ballast, and these are a new line, with the Penny Flyer launched first to purchase.

From here, the Stunt flyer, now renamed to Penny Flyer is ready to go as a kit, the Sleek Streek as well, now in two versions, the original 13″ wingspan and a larger, 16 1/2 inch wingspan version. I have plans for the other two, Space Flyer and Skeeter, larger scale with foam board patterns on the wings for those to cut out upon, DIY upon.

Sharing a PM on Facebook with a customer friend of mine, this is what it’s about and what we are supposed to with experience helping others, not just a company selling something.
“I’m glad I found you. I wouldn’t be building if it wasn’t for your help. I’d have given up and bought ARF’s or similar foam planes. With the kits I can get the planes I actually like and not just other people’s leftovers”
March:
As I venture forth here upon, my original idea, just to have a personal page about my RC world, now, turning into not only an ongoing series of kits I design and produce, it’s combined with advancing the capacity for the main operation at Espresso Outfitters, EspressoOutfitters.com, Espresso-Outfitters.com respectively, this is moving things forward upon unprecedented levels, things in both industries! Levels of sophistication, well above then what has been done before. I am also in tangent, creating a resource for people to learn from, getting them building and the rest. I’m using the main company name/operation/title on the E-commerce and billing elements, something I felt should be brought up when checking out when purchasing the kits. Sharing one of my simpler models of what I manufacture there with the espresso carts.
