Slow Stick Jenny FB

The Slow Stick Jenny FB is based upon it’s balsa and covering original counterpart. It’s keeping the same universal stick fuselage and power system but using foam board for the wing and tail sections while retaining the same profile and shape as the original.

The wing is set back mid section of the fuselage formers since it’s foam board based rather then the original balsa and covering for the center of gravity element, other then that, it’s the same simple, gentle plane as before for those that both want to get it up in the air quickly and to get used to the plane while they are building the balsa and covering version.

It’s standard foam board fold and cut out format, nothing special there along assembly. The main spar is different being sandwiched layers of foam with light ply joining them, something a bit more robust then the norm and easy to do.

With the foam board system, you can bend the stock slightly to see the relief cuts, the airfoil is bent based upon the relief cuts using a straight edge, remove the stock where the underside joins the top, leaving the paper in tact so it folds over. The main spars once glued together are placed into the slots, with the thin ply joiner stock placed next to them for joining. There is some sanding where the two halves meet and don’t worry if there is a small gap, that can be filled in with hot glue and covered with a strip of foam board paper removed from foam itself stock piece.
